Happy Holidays from The Urban Mushers!

Hello! We hope everyone had a happy holiday and that everyone has a happy new year!

Although we did not have a white Christmas, we did get a little over an inch of snow a couple days before Christmas. The dogs frolicked around in their Christmas bandanas. Boo lost his ears while he was running around, but I’m pleased to report he found them shortly after the snow melted.

Although I didn’t get any pictures, my mom visited earlier in the week. Surprisingly, right after she arrived and sat down on the couch, Pence came over to say hi to her and immediately put her front paws on my mom’s lap and gave her an eyeball kiss! Pence doesn’t give those out very often, so mom was lucky.

Pence is coming out of her shell more and being more open to meeting people on her own terms now! We’re so proud of her!

Pence received a pre-Christmas mani-pedi, complete with a nail clipping and a trim of the fur between her toes and paw pads. She was starting to slip on our hardwood floors again because of the fur, so we trimmed it back to hopefully avoid any future slips and injuries.

Riley got a new hat for Christmas, but Pence thought it was hers. Of course she sent a photo to her Aunt Flame to show off.

As a Christmas Day tradition in my family, my grandpa makes prime rib for a mid-afternoon meal. Boo and Pence were each given a bone out of the prime rib as a treat! They were two very happy doggos.
